The April 17, 2019 Shape up classes are cancelled.  

FREE CPR Training by the FDNY ( anyone 14 and older can particpate)

Thursday, May 9th at 6:30 pm sharp The FDNY will be at  PS 30 to train you on compressions -only CPR and AED training. You can learn to protect your family, friends, and fellow community members with  CPR. Out of hospital cardiac arrest is responsible for an estimated 380,000 deaths nationally every year. You can double the chances of someone surviving a cardiac arrest. If you would like to attend send in the tear off that was sent home with the children today( March 18) or see Kathie Stefanski 718 442 0462 extension 2220 to sign up. We need to have 15 participants to conduct this important training. Bring a friend!  PLEASE RSVP by May 1st.

Pre K and 3 PreK Registration opening

PreK registration opens February 4th for children born in 2015 for the 4 year old programs.

Children born in 2016 can apply for Pre K 3 year old program.

Free Exercise Classes for Adults at PS 30 - "Get Moving"

Shape Up NY- Get Moving  and PS 30 have partnered to bring you FREE exercise classes at our school every Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 pm in our gym.

Classes will begin Feb. 6th.

The 6 -7 pm class will be low impact aerobics and  Shape Up _PS 30_Get Moving 1 15 19.pdf 

the 7 - 8 pm class will be Cardio Sculpting  Shape Up NYC Cardio Sculpt.pdf 

Please wear comfortable clothes and enjoy the class.

We will run the classes through June only closing when schools are not in session.(Feb. 20 and April 24)

Please use caution during stop and drop in the morning.  The streets are narrow and the scaffolding is making drop off more difficult.  Please drive to the front door where there is an opening in the scaffolding to drop your children off.  Do not allow your children to get out of the car in the middle of the street as this creates a safety issue for your children and the other children being dropped off.  Safety for all of our students is of the utmost importance.

Construction

  •  Due to ongoing construction on the roof we will continue to have scaffolding around the building for the foreseeable future. This will affect arrival and dismissal for some students. The following changes will be in place until further notice.
          A.  In the morning the 4th and 5th grade students will enter the building and go to the cafeteria
          B. 1st grade and 2nd grade will be dismissed from the Wardwell school yard.
          C. 3rd grade will be dismissed from exit 12 which is next to the Wardwell schoolyard.
          D. Pre-k, Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grade dismissal is unaffected.
          E. The playground on Fiske Avenue will be closed until the repairs are complete

5th Grade Parents and Guardians

Letters have been mailed to your home with your access code to submit your child's online application for middle school.

The Deadline to submit applications is December 3rd.

There are NO EXCEPTIONS to the deadline and every 5th grade student must submit their choices on the application.
